Stampin up Fish Shaker Card#74_Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge February 2017

Welcome to Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge!
This month’s sketch was created by lovely Sam Charlton :-)

I made lots of flower projects recently so I wanted to go with something not flowers or hearts included. when I look through my current stamp sets, I saw a set which I thought perfectly suit for this sketch,

First I was going to make a one layerd card, but the theme is fish, I thought I could make a shaker card which I haven't make a shaker card very long time.

I could make this card with stamped image, but I didn't want the card is too flat, so I wanted to give some dimentions using watercolour technique. You know I am so into watercolor looks if you follow me instagram or youtube, you will definitely know it.

So I tried to colour fishes and seaweeds(?) with at least 2 different inks.and also wanted to show that stampin up ink pad is water based ink, so can play the ink as long as use right type of cardstocks.

This technique won't work on whisper white cardstock, It has to be watercolor cardstock or rough textured cardstock that It won't really soak the water too much while coloring. **I was using papermilldirect plain white card**

I wanted the shaker part look like actual sea so mainly i used scatter crystals small size and black and teal colour sequins to make it deeper....?!?! hope that make sense!
What do you think? do you like it!?   Hope you do :-)

also filmed a process video for this project, including how I blend inks, but haven't edit it yet. so please come back in few day to check it out how I did make them xxx

**Now Video is available to watch :-)  (19th Feb 2017)**
