Stampin' Up! Pootlers Design Team - Balloon Builders - June Week 5_3" x 3" Mini Card#11_2016(with googly eyes)

Hi,
This month - June, I am part of the Pootlers Design Team challenge and we are using the Balloon Builders stamp set.  There are 5 of us who will be creating a project every week on a Thursday using the same stamp set.

This week 5,
It's already 5th Thursday June. Time flies! It was amazing journey and experience. I am so glad I could be June design team member and I could use this lovely stamp set.
When I got it first time, I wasn't sure what I could make with. (I guess that's why I didn't buy it first place... haha)
But after 5 weeks, I totally want to keep this set even if it retires. I probably will keep continue to challenge my self :-)

when I film a project, the project has to be perfect. so I won't have any mistake on a video. so usually think ideas, practice few times and make 1 sample before film. Everything is ready, then film a video.
But this time, I wanted to show how I get ideas. so the original video was 1h40mins. but this video is only 15mins.(tried my best to edit that watcher won't get bored also can recognize products info or how I did.  So If anyone interested to see How I made this,
You can watch it here or on YouTube.

Have a fun!

Stampin Up! Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop Week 3_Card#09_2016(Best Birds stamp set)

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop! You’ll be hopping around 9 amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.
Currently you’re visiting Jerim Dickins - Willowpiggy from Crewe, UK Hello there! You can continue hopping my using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.

It's my first time to join this lovely 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop Week 3,  So honored to be part of this hop!

At the moment I'm really into water colour effects, so I've been looking out for stamps in the new lineup of stamps which are suitable for water colouring. Usually the best ones for doing this are just outlines, and when I came across this lovely bird I wanted to make something with him. I'm not sure what kind of bird he is(perhaps you can tell me in the comments?) but my husband thinks that it's a Robin and that it looks very 'Chrismassy' and a little out of place for a Birthday card. To be honest, I just wanted to use the bird, and the sentiment was just a default one which I chose... more appropriate for this time of the year... hehehe

As the card design was a simple one, I embossed the bird and small bits with gold embossing powder and added some colours on top to bring him to life. I then fussy-cut out the bird and small bits which was a bit pain to do, especially around the legs of the bird. There is actually a matching die available which is available separately or in a bundle which I now really regret not having bought.

I have a process video start to finish how I created this card. You can watch it here or on YouTube.

Have a fun!

Stampin' Up! Pootlers Design Team - Balloon Builders - June Week 3 Father's day_Card#08_2016

Hi,
This month - June, I am part of the Pootlers Design Team challenge and we are using the Balloon Builders stamp set.  There are 5 of us who will be creating a project every week on a Thursday using the same stamp set.

This week 3,
I had few ideas were in my head, but They didn't come out right when I actually tried on paper.
so picked up "A horseshoe" shape balloon and stamped, I saw "a letter C"

So started to build up alphabet, I actually can make all of the alphabet letters.
I was thinking, "Should I do a birthday card(you know never enough to have birthday cards :-) - default) or Thank you card?" then "Oh I haven't made a father's day card yet, perfect!"
#love2-in-1work

when I use a letter stamp, make sure all lined up, but these letters are funky looking anyway, so didn't really mind about lining letters :-) and the letters are quite big, so I made the biggest card ever made! It's a A5 size card :-)

when I finished this watercolour looking card, I felt something missing, so I draw outlines.
I think without line one for adult and with line for kids!
what do you think? with line or without line?

Filmed a process video how I made this card. I think fun to watch how I build the alphabet letters. I really enjoyed making this project. I hope you too enjoy it :–D

Have a fun!

Stampin' Up! Pootlers Design Team - Balloon Builders - June Week 2_Card#07_2016

Hi,
This month - June, I am part of the Pootlers Design Team challenge and we are using the Balloon Builders stamp set.  There are 5 of us who will be creating a project every week on a Thursday using the same stamp set.

This week 2,
The first idea I had with this stamp set was to make some kind of balloon animal, but for some reason I couldn't get it to look right. It actually oddly looked more like a wig or some kind of human hair - FAILED - or did I?. From my failure, it gave me the idea to make a kid's face out of combining some of the long balloons with the traditional round balloon shape and drawing a face on it. I started experimenting with colours and came up with a few different faces.

We have three kids on my husbands side of the family who are all around the same age. There's Sienna who is of half Caribbean ethnicity, Lucija who is half Serbian, and my daughter Jessica who is  half Korean. When my husband came home from work he suggested that the faces I had created actually looked like it could be those three kids!! It was absolutely not intentional to do that, but with that in mind I decided to use this as inspiration for my overall card design. As you can see I have kept the design quite simple and tried to focus on the message in the sentiment. I hope these little kids, all with a little different ethnic background grow up together and remain FOREVER FRIENDS! xxx

Filmed a video tutorial on how to make it. It is a short 3mins video.
I really enjoyed making this project. I hope you too enjoy it :–D

Stampin' Up! Super simple and quick Mini Teddy bear _ Card#06_2016

Hi :-)
I made a mini card. If someone already read my old blog posts before, you know how much love to make a mini card, right? :-)
I like to send a mini card, because simply I don't really know what to write!
My husband writes
"To. ___

Happy Birthday!

                Lots of love
               4J Dickins xxx

when I have to write this words on A5 size card for him sometimes, I feel so embassy, just hate the empty space, feels wasted(probably it's cultural thingy as well - we more write letters than cards in korean)

anyway so I love to make small cards :-)

So here is the mini card which super simple and quick to make!

It's slightly smaller than 3" x 3" size, but look at the photo above, you can write quite good amount of words :-)
Also even if I needed to do some fussy cutting, only took 20mins to make 5 of them.
Because I have incredible MISTI stamping Tool, so I could save so much time!!

Thank you for reading hard/strange English! I really appreciate it :-D
would love to explain by text, but you know me! I can’t explain how to make it in English.

so Filmed a video tutorial on how to make it. I really enjoyed making this project. I hope you too enjoy it  :–D

Have a fun to watch it!
