This month's sketch is

I didn't really get the point of scrapbooking. but since I watched "Trolls". I kind of understand of it.... lol one day I can make one like what poppy's made.

This is my first ever scrapbooking page.

It actually took nearly 2hours to make one page!!(mostly because I am the worse indecisive person in the world....)

Last week, It was my son Jacob's birthday, so I wanted to make my first scrapbook page for his birthday.

It took a long time to make this, but I had fun. and more understand about scrapbooking, very looking forward to make more, so I can fill up new album!

I meant to make it with clean white background, but I made a "Happy accident" while I was spray water on inked block.

some black ink was edge of the base, so I had to cover the accident with spread black ink(?)

I am not sure this will make sense...(If you don't understand what i mean, you can find out the happy accident in my process video for this project)

I also used an Embossing Paste first time, I couldn't find a Palette Knife, so I used a bone folder to spread out the paste.... haha

Here’s a video how I made this scrapbook page, also include some tips.

You can watch on my youtube channel

  7. Well, for a first scrapbook page, you have done a wonderful job! So many lovely elements, and such an adorable little subject! I look forward to watching your confidence grow. (and 2 hours for a page is not really out of the norm, I think)

  8. Hi Jerim, WHAT?!?! How could this be your first scrapbook page because you TOTALLY ROCKED it! Love the use of Poppy from Trolls as an illustration. My son LOVES Poppy (and this is my favorite part of the movie!) Your scrapbook page is amazing. Spending 2 hours on a page isn't bad. You'll have some pages that come together quickly while others take longer. Love how you used the Happy Birthday die and cut it apart to create your title.
